The Leica Gallery Wetzlar celebrates the 50th anniversary of Leica Galleries with the exhibition „Personal Perspectives: 50 Photographs for 50 Years of Leica Galleries“. Developed in collaboration with the Leica galleries around the world, the show presents iconic works and new discoveries, reflecting the diverse and evolving landscape of Leica photography. Each photographer featured in the exhibition has previously been showcased in a Leica Gallery.
The exhibition showcases works by renowned photographers such as Elliott Erwitt, Joel Meyerowitz, and Barbara Klemm, alongside emerging talents. This diverse collection presents a wide range of styles, from photojournalism and portraiture to street and landscape photography.
Leica Galleries are more than exhibition spaces: they serve as places of encounter, inspiration, and emotional connection, embodying Leica’s values of authenticity and humanity. The anniversary exhibition highlights their longstanding cultural impact and their role in shaping photographic discourse—past, present, and future.
